Roger C. Hewins III, is President and founder of Hewins Financial Advisors, LLC.  Based in our California office, he is involved in every aspect of the firm's investment management consulting services.  Roger personally serves the largest institutional and family clients.  He also manages the firm' s innovative joint ventures with large, regional CPA firms.

Roger has more than fifteen years of experience in financial and investment management.  Before founding Hewins Financial Advisors, he served as Senior Vice President of P.R. Taylor Associates, Inc.  Roger led that firm's investment management consulting practice, and was directly responsible for their institutional and high net worth consulting activity as well as the firm's 401(k) advisory services.  

Before joining P R Taylor, Roger was Vice President, Manager Global Short-Term Fixed Income and Hedging, for Wells Fargo Nikko Investment Advisors.  There, he managed cash assets of $15 billion in multiple foreign currencies.  He was also responsible for $5 billion of hedging activity and worked extensively with clients, advising them on risk management.

 Prior to assuming those responsibilities, Roger was Cash Manager in the Treasury Department at Intel Corporation.  At Intel, Roger managed over $1 billion of cash assets plus a successful $400 million commercial paper program, as well as a $300 million stock index arbitrage program.

 Roger served in the United States Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer Officer, and was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for "outstanding performance of duty."  He earned a B.A. in Psychology from Fordham University and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
