Larry
Waschka is a registered investment advisor and president of
Waschka Capital Investments (WCI), a fee-only investment advisory firm in
Little Rock, Arkansas. He has
14 years experience in the investment industry.
After almost five years at Merrill Lynch, at his clients’
request, Larry started WCI. He
began with $3 million in assets and twelve clients and has grown to
approximately $85 million in assets and 275 clients in ten years.
He was recognized by Worth magazine as one of the “Top 250
Advisors in the Country” for 1998 & 1999.
Larry is the
author of the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Getting Rich and
co-authored Managing Family Trusts with Rob Rikoon. His advice on
portfolio management and financial planning has been featured in many
national publications, such as Kiplinger’s and the Los Angeles
Times. Larry has appeared
on MSNBC and CNN-FN and hosted a radio show called “Arkansas’ Money
Talk” for three years. He
also has been a guest on many national and local radio shows throughout
the country. In addition,
Larry has taught over 400 financial planning workshops and has produced
two videos on portfolio management and no-load mutual fund investing.
Active
civically, Larry is involved in many local charities such as Centers for
Youth and Families, Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Jump$tart, an
organization dedicated the establishment of personal financial education
in primary and secondary schools.
Larry
received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of
Arkansas at Fayetteville. His
hobbies include water-skiing, bare-footing and weight-lifting.
