John Scarborough, Principal  John acquired a B.S. degree in engineering and an MBA from Stanford University, and holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. He has been in the securities and investment field since 1979, following a business career with Raychem and Berkeley Bio-Engineering corporations. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the Northern California Planned Giving Council. John lives in Belvedere where he is active in civic affairs and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Marin Education Fund. He is a member of the Advisory Council to McLaren Business School at the University of San Francisco and is a past Director and Treasurer of the San Francisco Yacht Club. John is frequently quoted in the print and broadcast media on investment and financial planning topics.
