Best Practices:

CIFA will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas among the leading advisors in the country. A national meeting of CIFA members is scheduled for November 1st and 2nd, 2000. Throughout these meetings and the CIFA affiliation, members can draw upon the expertise of a diverse pool of professionals, and gain access to a referral network across the country.

In addition to the resources of its membership, CIFA is dedicated to the creation of a knowledge, product and service pool where the efficiencies of shared costs and administration can deliver bottom line benefits.

Services in development include:

  • Multiple access Website: The design of a website that offers three levels of access is currently underway.

  • Level One: provides access to the general public, including referral sources to information on member firms, articles and general investment advice.

  • Level Two: provides custom access to clients, linking them to their firms for account information, and more in-depth resources.

  • Level Three: provides the member firms with access to database information, best practice procedures, white papers, compliance information and CIFA resources.

  • Systematic Public Relations Protocol.

Education leveraging the members' ability to become a recognized and published resource within their local and regional communities. Expand their ability to attract media attention in national segments.

  • Access to a controlled state chartered trust company

  • Representation on vendor and industry advisor boards

  • Provide a uniform strategy to create and maintain strategic alliances between member firms and related financial disciplines.

  • Combined purchase power to provide discounted or shared services including research or consultative service, or acquisition of office equipment, etc.

  • Consistent opportunities for member meetings to provide a forum of idea sharing. (Twice a year)

  • Commonality of Systems and certain aspects of business operations

  • Required participation in community programs ( i.e. Planner Without Minimums (PWM), etc.)
